WHO WE ARE
A small academy for people who want a skill they can charge for
Kora started because too many people finish an expensive course and still cannot do the job. We teach two things — video editing and applied AI — and we teach them the way the work is actually done, with real footage, real briefs and real deadlines.
HOW WE TEACH
Short lessons, one deliverable, no filler
Every course is built backwards from a finished piece of work. Before a lesson goes live we ask one question: does this get the student closer to something they can send a client? If not, it gets cut.
Lessons are short enough to watch on a matatu ride and specific enough to apply the same evening. The project files come with the course, so you practise on the same footage the instructor is cutting on screen.
Our instructors are working editors, colourists and producers — not full-time trainers. What they teach on Monday is what they were paid to do on Friday.
Project-first
Each course ends with a portfolio piece, not a quiz.

AND THE GEAR
Why an academy sells gym clothing
Because the people who train hard at a skill usually train hard at something else too. Kora gear started as kit for our own team and turned into a line our students kept asking about.
Same standard as the courses: honest sizing, fabric that survives a Nairobi training week, and prices that make sense in shillings. Delivered countrywide, pay on delivery available.
